‘Yukon Gold’ Organic Seed Potato

Bay Leaf Laurel
$26.00Bay Leaf Laurel is an aromatic, evergreen shrub or tree native to the Mediterranean. Typically growing 10-30 feet tall, but commonly pruned smaller in for garden purposes. Green, thick, glossy leaves also used as a culinary herb. The female plant produced small yellow-green flowers in the spring, and when pollinated, purple-black berries. Hardy to zone 8, but is suitable for indoor growing for winter protection. Do not plant outdoors as it will not survive the winter in the Kootenays!

Black Jostaberry
$20.00A gooseberry and currant cross! The rich berry taste is reminiscent of gooseberry with a kiss of black currant. Deep-red, almost-black fruit is high in vitamin C and forms in large clusters, ideal for juices, jams and jellies, and fresh-eating. Cold-hardy plants are long-lived, thornless, and productive once established. Debuted in 1977. The name “jostaberry” itself is a combination of the German word for blackcurrant, “Johannisbeere” and for gooseberry, “Stachelbeere”. Cucamelon Transplant
$4.50Also known as the Mexican Sour Gherkin, cucamelon seeds produce vines that could be mistaken for regular cucumber plants. The plants are not quite as productive as cucumbers, but the fruits are amazingly cute and novel. They look like tiny watermelons but have a very appealing cucumber flavour with slight citrus notes. Eat them fresh or pickle them for a crunchy treat. Harvest them at the 2cm (1″) size, before the seeds develop.

High Bush Cranberry

Kinnikinnick Bearberry
$16.00Hardy native mat-forming evergreen groundcover with small shiny foliage and pink, bell-shaped blooms in spring followed by red berries. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Kinnikinnick berries are edible but mealy and tasteless, but were an important traditional food source for some First Nations groups because of their persistence on branches throughout the winter. Due to their texture and lack of taste, the berries were usually processed, cooked, or preserved in some way. Young leaves can be used in tea as well.

Our Linden Lane Farms compost is great for adding organic matter to your garden while also providing plant nutrition. Our compost is made using the thermophilic process by turning with an excavator and monitoring temperatures and moisture. It is approved for use on our certified organic vegetable fields.

Red Goji Berry
